Kybella in Tirana

Aura Medical Clinic in Tirana offers Kybella, an injectable treatment for localised fat under the chin, often called a “double chin”. The treatment is performed by Dr. Denada Sherja, without surgery, after a consultation that assesses whether the concern comes from fat or from loose skin.

How Kybella works

Kybella contains deoxycholic acid, a substance that destroys fat cells in the area where it is injected. The body gradually clears the treated cells. Kybella is not a weight-loss method and does not replace liposuction when the amount of fat is large.

Who it may suit

People with localised fat under the chin that does not go away with healthy eating and physical activity, and whose skin still has good elasticity. When the main concern is loose skin or the amount of fat is large, the doctor may discuss alternatives such as liposuction.

How the treatment is carried out

At the consultation, the area, the skin and your medical history are assessed. On the day of treatment, the area is cleaned and marked, then the product is injected with very fine needles at several points. Usually 1 to 3 sessions are needed, at an interval set by the doctor.
