An endoscopic mini facelift is a limited-scope surgical operation in which the surgeon uses an optical system to view structures during surgery. “Mini” describes the scope of the plan, while “endoscopic” describes the access and visualisation method. Neither term, by itself, defines which facial areas will be treated.

What endoscopic mini facelift means
The endoscope gives the surgeon a view of the operative area through access planned for the individual case. The surgeon decides the extent, areas, tissue plane and method of repositioning or fixation. These details vary between patients and cannot be selected from an online description.
Endoscopic surgery does not mean “no incisions”, “no scars” or “no recovery”. Nor is it automatically safer, longer-lasting or more suitable than a surgical mini facelift. The consultation should explain the intended objective and limits of each relevant option.
Who may consider a consultation
A consultation may help people who notice changes in facial contours or tissues and want to understand whether a limited endoscopic plan has a role in their case. Suitability depends on anatomy, skin and tissues, general health, previous procedures, medicines, smoking, goals and the ability to follow postoperative care.
The patient should identify the area of concern and describe the change they hope to see. The surgeon explains what the procedure may aim to improve, what it will not change and whether another mini-facelift approach or a non-surgical alternative should be discussed.

Planning the operation
Before a decision is made, the consultation covers general health, allergies, medicines and supplements, smoking, previous operations and expectations. The team gives instructions about tests, medicines, eating, transport and support at home where relevant. Medicines should not be changed unless the medical team instructs the patient to do so.
The plan should clearly identify the included areas, proposed access, the tissue change intended and the limits of the expected result. The name “endoscopic mini facelift” is not a substitute for this individual description.
Recovery and postoperative care
Swelling, bruising, tenderness, numbness, tightness or temporary discomfort may occur after surgery. The team provides instructions for wound care, hygiene, resting position, activity, medicines and reviews. Return to work, exercise and travel is decided according to the scope and individual healing; there is no single timetable.
The patient should contact the clinic about unexpected symptoms or the warning signs identified in the instructions. Discharge home occurs when the criteria established for the case have been met.
Risks and limitations
Possible risks include bleeding, infection, fluid collection, wound-healing problems, scarring, asymmetry, altered sensation, nerve injury or weakness, hair loss around access sites, anaesthetic complications, blood clots, an unsatisfactory result or a need for revision. The surgeon explains individual risk before consent.
A result cannot be guaranteed. Ageing continues, and tissues may change over time with health, weight, lifestyle and other individual factors. Endoscopic access does not remove these limits.
Results and quotation
The aim is a balanced change that fits the patient’s features and the areas defined in the plan. Appearance develops as swelling reduces and tissues heal. Follow-up is used to assess progress.
