How the treatment works
Botulinum toxin is injected into the skin and temporarily blocks the nerve signals that activate the sweat glands in the treated area. Sweating is reduced only where the treatment is given.
Before treatment
Excessive sweating can also have other causes, such as thyroid problems, infections or some medicines. When sweating affects the whole body or has started suddenly, the doctor may first recommend a medical assessment.
How the treatment is carried out
At the consultation, the area and your medical history are assessed. On the day of treatment, the area is cleaned and the product is injected with very fine needles at several points. One session is usually enough, and you can return to your activities the same day.
Who performs the treatment
The treatment is performed by Dr. Denada Sherja, a doctor and surgeon trained in aesthetic surgery. More about the team: Our team.
