Aura Medical Clinic

If you are considering bringing a companion for rhinoplasty in Tirana, define that person’s role before travelling. They can support documents, schedules, contact and practical arrangements, but they do not replace the patient or Aura Medical Clinic’s clinical team.

The need for a companion and the stages at which they should be available must be confirmed for the individual plan. Do not assume that the person must attend every step, may enter clinical areas or may receive health information without the patient’s permission.

Divide responsibilities before travelling

The patient describes their goals, provides health information, hears the surgeon’s explanation and gives consent. A companion may help with organisation and notes only where the patient and the team agree.

Topic Patient Companion
Clinical decisions Discusses the assessment and plan with Aura. Listens with permission; does not choose the procedure or surgeon.
Information Provides accurate details and controls what may be shared. Receives only information authorised by the patient.
Schedule Confirms consultation, surgery and reviews. Keeps transport and commitments compatible with that schedule.
Instructions Receives and follows personal instructions. Helps remember them but does not alter them.
Contact Selects the channel and authorised contacts. Contacts the clinic only within the agreed role.

This division reduces confusion and keeps clinical responsibility with Aura’s team.

Ask when the companion should be available

Before making bookings, ask Aura for answers linked to your case:

  • Is a companion recommended or required at any stage?
  • At which times should the person be reachable?
  • Where may they wait during consultation, preparation or surgery?
  • Should they be present when the patient leaves the clinic?
  • Which instructions may be shared with the patient’s permission?
  • Which contact route should they use if the patient needs help?

The answers should follow the confirmed plan rather than another patient’s story. Discharge, travel and care after surgery depend on the team’s assessment and instructions.

Set privacy and communication boundaries

Tell Aura whether you want the companion to join conversations, take notes or receive practical notifications. If permission is limited, state exactly what can be shared and through which contact.

The companion should not answer in the patient’s place about health history, goals or consent. If language assistance is needed, ask the clinic how communication will be handled; a bilingual friend or relative should not assume they are the clinical interpreter.

Keep written instructions and clinic numbers on both phones only when the patient agrees. Do not send health documents through an unapproved booking or messaging channel merely for convenience.

Organise logistics without assuming a package

Confirm transport, accommodation and reservations independently. This article does not state that Aura supplies flights, hotels, transfers, guided visits or companions. If a practical service is discussed, obtain written confirmation before treating it as part of the plan.

Keep the companion’s commitments flexible. They should know the address, confirmed times and contact route, but must not improvise changes to consultation, surgery or reviews. The patient’s clinical schedule takes priority over every other reservation.

Prepare one folder containing confirmations, requested documents and instructions provided by Aura. Make sure both people know which documents belong with the patient and which copies the companion has permission to hold.

After surgery: practical support, not medical advice

The companion may help keep instructions, contact details and personal items accessible under the agreed plan. They must not change medicines, activity, care, food, sleeping position or any other instruction. Those questions go to Aura.

If the patient has a concern, the companion can help contact the clinic and describe the facts. They should not decide that a sign is normal, delay communication or replace an instruction with something found online.

Before leaving, make sure both people know which channel to use, which concerns to report, when reviews take place and what practical help is expected. Do not turn that information into a general recovery timetable.

The Pyramid of Tirana: a companion-only stop

If the companion has free time while the patient rests or follows the clinical plan, the Pyramid of Tirana can be a separate stop in Tirana. The Albanian National Tourism Agency presents the Pyramid as a distinctive city landmark that has been reused as a public and cultural space. Check the official source for current visitor information.

Clinical timing and recovery come first; the Pyramid of Tirana is suggested only for the companion while the patient follows Aura’s instructions and does not sightsee.

The companion should keep their phone on and the visit easy to change if the patient or Aura needs them. This section does not advise the patient to go sightseeing after rhinoplasty.
